Welcome to Gradient Ink Company!

My name is Glenn Broker , I am the owner and  founder of Gradient Ink Company located in Bozeman Montana ,as well as Class Act Tattoo Studio located in New York State (Est.1989).

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a creative artistic side of myself. As a young entrepreneur my first business venture was in the early 80’s while I was still in high school. I started airbrushing in flea markets, fairs, boardwalks and that led to clients consigning me to do their custom artwork. The airbrushing of motorcycles, cars and trucks led me into the field of auto body repair and vehicle graphics.

You may be wondering how I got into tattooing? As soon as I was old enough to get a tattoo , that tattoo artist saw my artistic ability and gave me the basics of what I needed to know to get started.

Even though I was very busy doing all of this I still had a drive to experience other fields of business. So I started college in 1990 , earning two separate degrees, in Architecture and  Criminal Justice. While continuing to run a busy and fast growing art studio doing my airbrushing and tattoos. In 1997 I decided that tattooing was what I really wanted to do. So I purchased a building in New York State for my new shop location. My main focus in business is to provide an enjoyable quality experience for all  my customers by having a knowledgeable staff, a friendly professional atmosphere , and guaranteeing a sterile environment , with sterile procedures , insuring the safety and health of our clients along with ourselves.

I’ve put my life into tattooing and wouldn’t want to do anything else. I still do custom airbrushing for clients on cars, trucks, helmets and just about anything you can think of , as well as auto body repairs, window tinting , custom T-shirts (silk screen and heat transfer) , vehicle graphics, stickers, storefront signage, banners and magnets...just to mention a few.  Getting back to my true passion of tattooing, I’d have to say that my favorite part about it is taking the clients vision and turning it into their perfect tattoo. I take pride in the fact that I can master any type of tattoo style that is requested, from impossible cover-ups, watercolor, portraits, black and grey tattoos , full color tattoos, floral , patriotism, nature , even cosmetic tattooing.

So you may wonder how I ended up with a shop in Montana? Well the answer is some girl that grew up in Bozeman…. Our paths crossed and over the years we have kept roots in the area , so it came time to bring my craft to Montana. While the New York location is still going strong, I’ve gotten to a point where I want more individual time with my clients to build a working relationship. To achieve this I run a private studio  by appointment only to guarantee that individual time.While upholding all of the same sterile procedures, professional environment , high quality experience that I have become known for. Of course I continue to do everything that I did in New York here in Montana as well, like the auto body repair, vehicle graphics, airbrushing, window tinting and custom T-shirts.
